Desert Landscape & Bindu by Valerie Hildebrand
In the creation of this artwork, I was inspired by the natural beauty of the desert landscape and the concept of the Bindu, which is a point representing the origin of the universe in Hindu and Buddhist symbolism. The contrast between the stark, yet vibrant, desert environment and the spiritual significance of the Bindu led me to explore the intersection of nature and spirituality in this piece.
This artwork integrates digital collage techniques with traditional painting elements. I wanted to capture the layered and textured look of a traditional collage while working digitally, which required experimenting with different textures and blending techniques to achieve the desired effect. It was a challenging but ultimately rewarding process, as it allowed me to push the boundaries of digital art and create a piece that feels both contemporary and timeless.
